Gabrielle is the creator of Career Life Planning™, an interactive process which
provides professional coaching and results in a written professional development
plan. She works with individuals, couples, and groups to create positive change,
with an emphasis on personal and professional growth and achieving tangible results.
Gabrielle
has an extensive background as an Educator/Trainer, Facilitator, Consultant, Manager,
Business Owner and Community Leader. She has experience in both staff and line
management positions and secondary school teaching experience, teaching at the
university, community college, adult and high school levels. In 1973 she developed
the first "live office" program through the Humboldt Regional Occupational Program,
County Office of Education, a very successful statewide re-training program for
high school students and adults re-entering the job market.
Her
areas of background and expertise are in the areas of Motivation, Planning and
Goal Setting, Team Building Strategies, Management and Supervision, and Leadership
Styles. She is also the co-author of a book on transition and change, entitled
You Can Choose Again.
In
1985 she founded Business Connections, a countywide networking organization
for women business owners, providing a forum for women to promote and market themselves
and their businesses. In 1992, she was instrumental in establishing a "non-profit
without walls," the Women Entrepreneurs Institute(WEI) and has actively
served as its president for several years. The Institute collaborates and partners
with businesses and economic development organizations to provide resources for
women just starting new businesses or expanding their existing business. She is
the co-publisher of the Women Entrepreneus Directory of Northern California
(1996-1998), which covers five northern California counties.

State University and Commission on Status of Women
She
graduated from Humboldt State University and received a Masters degree in Business,
as well as a Standard Secondary Teaching Credential. She completed graduate work
at San Jose State University, Sacramento State University and Portland State University.
She has her Community College Teaching Credential and a Lifetime California Administrative
Credential.
